Gifts may be made through a variety of methods and are tax-creditable in the United States and Hong Kong.

You may choose to give to the General Fund, allowing the greatest flexibility in directing gifts to the school’s areas of greatest need. Or select one or more of the Student Learning Results:

Other ways to support the Annual Fund are:
The Alumni Scholarship in Memory of David F. Rittman provides full-tuition for recipients beginning in Grade 10. The scholarships are awarded on a merit and need basis.

The Charles W. Dull Visiting Scholar Series brings recognized scholars to HKIS to stimulate discussion and thought about aspects of our school's Mission and Student Learning Results.

The James A. Handrich Service Leadership Endowment grants awards to HKIS students to fund service projects. It is a wonderful example of philanthropy encouraging service.

Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards are gratefully accepted on-line. Donations may be made in US$ or HK$ and qualify for tax deduction in either the United States or Hong Kong.

Donations by check, in HK$ or US$, qualify for United States or Hong Kong Tax Deduction

Checks for US Tax Deduction - Please make sure that checks are made payable to 'Friends of Hong Kong Charities Inc.' and nothing is written in the lower left-hand corner of the check. Your check should be for HK$800 (approx. US$100) or more. Each quarter the 'Friends of Hong Kong Charities Inc, issues receipts that support tax deductions in both Hong Kong and the US.

Checks for Hong Kong Tax Deduction - Please make your check payable to Hong Kong International School or HKIS. (Check can be for US or Hong Kong dollar amounts.) Please note that donations of HK$100 or above are tax creditable. Your receipt will be issued within 4 - 8 weeks.
