The second step is pre-entry testing:

 

HKIS automatically requires pre-entry testing for any student who:

1. Is transferring from a school where a US curriculum is not taught.

2. Is from a family in which languages other than English are spoken.

3. Is transferring from a school where English is NOT the medium of instruction.

4. Has previous school records or reports, which indicate an area of academic concern.

5. Has been recommended to do so by the Admissions Committee.

 

1. An informal interview or assessment is held with all students applying for Reception One and
    Reception Two.

2. Assessments are scheduled upon the applicant’s arrival in Hong Kong
