The HKIS Student Learning Result “Contributing to Society” stresses that students ‘develop the skills they need to form genuine relationships in our diverse society and to make contributions to our community’.

Giving back to the community is at the heart of many school activities, whether that is through Mother’s Choice, St. Baldrick’s, or Heifer International in our Lower and Upper Primary Schools; or the Crossroads Program in Middle School, or during Interim in High School, the practice of voluntary service is so ingrained that more than 70 percent of students participate in service activities.  This gives them the opportunity to be compassionate to others while also learning about themselves.
