 Message from Director
I'm Justin Hardman Director of Technology @ HKIS. At HKIS we believe that technology is an integral component to student learning as well as driving operational processes.The mission of my department is to move HKIS towards embracing digital technology for both learning and productivity. At HKIS we are blessed with incredible technology resources to support students, employees and parents as well as fantastic people behind the scenes to support the technology running smoothly and helping everyone use it effectively.2011-12 is an extremely exciting year in HKIS for technology. It marks the third year of implementation of the strategic technology plan and there are a number of initiatives that will impact everyone in the community. These initiatives include:
- Deployment of 18 iPad carts in Lower Primary and a complete move to Mac for LPS teachers and students.
- Transition to a new email system (HKIS Gmail)
- Second year implementation of our 1:1 Program for students grade 5-12
- Complete rollout of new help desk operation with hotline numbers and a web help desk.
- Planned revisions of our HKIS World Wide Web site
- Upgrades to many of our key HKIS systems including myDragonNet & Parent Conference Signup System.
- Drafting of a Service Level Agreement
