An overview of the 2010-2011 student body

There are approximately 2,640 of us across the four divisions of HKIS.

We come from many different cultures and backgrounds.

Take a look at the charts.

We come from around 40 different countries and we have a broad range of 'mother tongues'.

Our gender-balance is almost equal with just a few more boys than girls and we all get on well together, from Lower Primary all the way through to High School.

With such diversity of backgrounds and cultures, every day at HKIS provides a new experience. As well as making new friends, there are many new, exciting and fascinating activities that students can take part in at all Grades throughout HKIS.

Students can learn a new skill or sport; improve an existing skill or academic ability; explore their physical and mental strengths and capabilities within a safe environment; help others less fortunate than themselves through one or more of the community programs, join a new sport, club, or association

Outside the confines of the school, students are active helping communities in other countries, befriending orphans, building homes for the homeless, learning to climb, scuba dive, or orienteer.  All things are possible.
