Minimum Qualification and Experience
|

To qualify for faculty positions at HKIS requires a Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree is preferable), a teaching qualification, and a minimum of two years school teaching experience at the relevant age group/level. Previous experience at an international school is an advantage.

HKIS offers Associate Teacher (Intern) programs to recent college graduates who wish to pursue a career in teaching. Associate Teacher (Intern) Program This is a one-year or two-year program, to teach out of five classes; and the position includes involvement in co-curricular activities The Associate teacher will be assigned a mentor, and a place in a weekly discussion and support group with fellow Associate Teachers. Associate Teacher (Intern) Requirements Associate Teacher positions at HKIS require:

A strong academic background with relevant Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience of working with young people as a tutor, counselor, coach or other capacity

An interest in pursuing both a teaching career and working in Asia.
