Shortly after arriving in Hong Kong in 1996, Jacqueline joined HKIS where she worked in the High School division as the secretary for Student Life, and then later as the Interim Week Program Coordinator. In August 2005 Jacqueline moved to the Head of School Office. In her role, Jacqueline supports the Associate Head of School and Head of School Office team.
After graduating with honors in Psychology, Jacqueline began her working career with an international charity organization where her responsibilities required frequent travel to Eastern Europe and Malawi.
HKIS welcomed Jacqueline into its community and celebrated two major events in her life….her marriage to Jason, and the birth of their two children Oscar and Lucy. When asked why she has stayed at HKIS for such a long period of time, Jacqueline replied,
“I have made many friends within the community, I enjoy the excitement of working within a school environment, and most of all I feel very privileged to work for an employer who supports ‘working mums’.
Jacqueline added that working at HKIS not only allows her time with her family, but also the chance to indulge her personal love of golf, entertaining at home, gardening and reading books. Further to this, HKIS offers a huge learning opportunity both professionally and personally. Having the expertise of so many professional educators within one’s working environment is like having a huge wealth of knowledge at your fingertips. There is always someone who is willing and happy to give advice and offer assistance.
