Overview

HKIS's two campuses are situated on the south of Hong Kong Island. Our Lower and Upper Primary Schools are located in Repulse Bay, and our Middle and High Schools are in Tai Tam.

However, until Summer 2018, our Upper Primary School is temporarily located at our Tai Tam campus so that major renovation work can take place over the school year.

Please scroll down for details about this redevelopment work and other plans for improving our facilities to enhance our students' experiences.

HKIS's Master Facilities Plan

HKIS has a long-term plan to upgrade and build the best facilities to support student learning at every stage of education. From our new Lower Primary School, opening August 2017, to a proposed Performance Hall, we want to make sure that students have the spaces they need to reach their full potential.

A New Lower Primary Building

After a multi-year construction project we are please to announce the opening of out new Lower Primary Building. Built to house our youngest learners, this facility provides the most up-to-date environment to meet the demands of 21st century learning.

Upper Primary Redevelopment 2017-18

HKIS's oldest building, our current Upper Primary School (Grades 3-5), opened in 1967 as a K-12 school. From August 2017 to Summer 2018, it will be upgraded to ensure that today and tomorrow’s young learners will have a space to best enhance their learning. For the Future

With our elementary schools complete, HKIS will begin to develop two sites adjacent to the Tai Tam campus. The first will be home to a student activity center ("Site A"), and the second will be a center for learning and excellence in teaching ("Site B"). Site A will house all of our Middle and High School athletics programs, opening up space in the current Middle and High School to develop an arts wing. Options for Site B are under consideration, including creating a center for professional development for our educators.
