Taekwondo


Taekwondo, an Olympic sport since the 2000 Sydney Games, is a Korean martial art characterized by fast, powerful kicks. The aim of the sport is to achieve control over both the body and the mind as well as to instil confidence, discipline and respect for others in the student. Through learning Taekwondo, students will not only gain better posture, co-ordination, strength, Taekwondo techniques and skills, but will also learn the importance of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit which together form the spirit of Taekwondo.

Master PARK Jun Gyu of HK Dragons Taekwondo, who has extensive teaching experience in Hong Kong (Previously taught at the American Club, Aberdeen Marina Club, Repulse Bay Club, Redhill Peninsula Club, etc.) will continue to conduct classes at HKIS in Term 1, 2016-2017. Classes are open to students from Grade 1 to 12. Each class is one hour long.

Class Time :

Tuesday - 3:15pm – 4:15pm for Grade 3-12 (these students can catch the 4:20pm bus)

Tuesday - 3:15pm – 4:45pm for Grade 3-12

Tuesday - 4:45pm – 5:45pm for Grade 1-12
