Mandatory Bus Policy
Mandatory Bus Policy
The Mandatory Bus Policy for Lower and Upper Primary School students has been in effect since the beginning of the 2013-14 school year. As part of HKIS's commitment to be a good neighbor and to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, we have developed this Policy in consultation with the Hong Kong Transport Department, Southern District Councillor Fergus Fung, and the Hong Kong Police. In doing so, we have developed a plan that allows for over 1,250 students to reach and depart school on time, while also reducing traffic congestion and pollution. This plan has been endorsed by the Transport Department.
Busing is also available to and from the Tai Tam campus for Middle and High School students, which is recommended, but not mandatory. You can find bus information for the Repulse Bay campus or the Tai Tam campus, or read the FAQ below.
