Bus Changes Upper Primary
Bus Options - Tai Tam
HKIS sponsored ASAs @ 3:15 p.m. in Tai Tam: Students will be dismissed to their activity (rooms). Parents do not need to submit a bus change for these activities. This includes all paid activities at 3:15pm and students in Choir, Early Strings (3:15 p.m.) and Early Band (3:15 p.m.).
Those students registered as bus riders will be able to take their registered 4:15 p.m. bus home. It is important that you are aware of the relevant bus number for your child and provide this to the activity leader during registration or prior to the first class. Alternatively these students can be picked up direct at the end of the activity. Please note, while bus to bus changes are not permitted, parents are able to request a change from a bus rider to a private pick up on a one off basis.
If for any reason your child is unable to attend his/her scheduled 3:15 p.m. class on a particular day, but your child will attend school, it is important that you contact the activity provider and copy Sports and Activities Office at email@example.com, at least 48 hours in advance so that your child's name can be removed from the ASA list for that day. If you are forced to make this change within the 48 hour period you need to call the Sports and Activities Office at 2812-5620 to discuss.
HKIS sponsored ASAs @ 4 p.m. or 4:15 p.m or 4:30 in Tai Tam:
Students who are registered in a paid activity, late Strings or Band will automatically be eligible to attend after school care (ASC) while they wait for their activity. Students will be dismissed from class to the Amphitheatre or the assigned indoor area, where they will register their attendance with the care supervisor. These students will be dismissed 5-10 minutes before their scheduled activity.
Students not in Strings, Band or HKIS sponsored ASAs: Students not enrolled in a 3:15 p.m. activity or the after school care program cannot remain at school for any reason (e.g. to play, to wait to be picked up, etc.). Students must go home upon dismissal.
HKIS sponsored ASAs @ 4 p.m. in Repulse Bay: Students that enroll in a 4 p.m. paid activity to be held in Repulse Bay will be transitioned to Repulse Bay from Tai Tam. These students do not need to make a bus change request, this will be arranged by the Activities Office. These students will ride a supervised bus at 3:20 p.m. from Tai Tam to Repulse Bay. Upon arrival they will be escorted to their activity. Students in these classes will require pick up at 5 p.m. at Repulse Bay.
For Off-Campus Activities - including those provided by companies that also operate at HKIS.
- Parents must submit a end of school day bus change request through the online system at the following Link.
- These students should be met by an authorised adult and escorted to their activity. I strongly recommend that you do not ask an off-campus activity provider to collect students on your behalf.
For One off Playdates:
Parents must submit a end of school day bus change request through the online system at the following Link to arrange for students to ride home together for playdates. However, please note that If your child would normally attend a 3:15 p.m. activity that day, this change request will override their activity schedule.
- Please email the Activities Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) and copy in the classroom teacher noting the change once you receive your confirmation of the change from the bus coordinator at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any confusion.
Please note that your requests will normally be processed within 24 hours and that a bus change or dismissal change is not confirmed unless you receive written confirmation.
