The PFO World's Fair is right around the corner! This year's theme is VINTAGE HKIS: A Trip Down Memory Lane. We are celebrating the 50th Golden Anniversary of HKIS and revisiting the Hong Kong of yesteryear.


Don't miss our "Ding Ding" Tram and Star Ferry Photo Ops, the Ocean Park Rickshaw, HK Guide Dog Association puppies with our UP Labrador Lovey, Fabulous Family Food Options, Shopping Village, a Lucky Draw where everyone wins and Games Galore!

Call for Bake Sale Donations

Bakers get your aprons ready! The World's Fair needs your tasty treats! We will have scheduled drop-offs on Friday, March 31, from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. and on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. onward. Please bring items ready to serve and individually wrapped, unless they are to be sold as a whole such as cake and pie donations. Sign up for Bake Sale Donations here, via our i-volunteer site.

Call for Parent and Student Volunteers

The success of the World's Fair is only possible with the help and participation of both Parent and Student Volunteers. We have such a fun theme and can only pull off this fantastic and fun-filled day with your involvement. Even one hour makes a difference! Shift sign ups are live! Sign up for both parent and student volunteer shifts on Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1, via our i-volunteer site.

Call for Used Book Sale Donations

Clean out those bookshelves, knowing your books will find a new loving home at our ever popular Used Book Sale at the World's Fair! Books will be collected on March 29, 30, and 31, prior to the fair at the HS Entrance and the UP Main Office.

Call for Student Talent for the Entertainment Stage

This year, we will again be providing an opportunity for our students to perform on our popular World's Fair stage! We are offering five- to 10-minute time slots for all types of entertainment. Please encourage students to join!

Make sure not to miss our Opening Ceremony at 11 a.m. and our Donut Eating Contest at 12:30 p.m.!

Earn Rewards for Performing!

High School students can earn dollars ($100 for each student) for their class, club, or charity; while Middle School students can earn points for their house, free dress, and a pizza party. Every performer earns individual points or dollars - whether solo or in a group. Talent certificates will be exclusively presented to Primary students!

Family Food Feast: Bring Your Appetite!

Bring your appetite and don't miss stopping by the HS Cafeteria for a delicious International Family Food Feast! Team Korea will have the spirited "Sogo Dance" - Korean traditional small-drum dance with Sangmo, Team Japan is back with their Ramen Shop and Sushi favorites. Team India promises an on the spot Dosa counter, Chicken Tikka & Samosas to look forward to! Powerhouse Team China is back, promising culinary delights and Team Thai is returning after its exciting debut last year. NEW this year are Team Philippines and Team USA - Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Mabuhay and Aloha!

Volunteers and Donations: We can not thank the family food groups enough for such a big undertaking each year! It's not too late to support your family food group with a small contribution towards costs. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, April 1, between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the food booths. Please consider donating time and/or money toward the success of your Family Foods team!

Games & Bouncy Castle are Back!

The High School gym will be packed with perennial favorites as well as several new games such as Kai Tak Airplane Challenge , Kung Fu Kick and Pokemon Catch in addition to our ever popular Giant Slide and Bouncy Castle .

Shopping Village

This year we have quite a few new vendors along with many of your old favorites! Look for children’s and ladies’ fashion, gourmet and healthy foods, beauty and lifestyle products, books, arts and crafts, and enrichment activities for the kids among the many offerings. Shoppers rejoice! The Dragon Shop is also open for business during the Fair, for your HKIS themed merchandise needs.

World of Surprises

Thank you to all donors who have pledged some very exciting prizes! Tickets for World of Surprises will be available for purchase at the PFO Table near the HS Main Gate entrance and in the HS Cafeteria near the Entrance . Fabulous prizes including a MacBook, Kindle, Spa & Beauty Treatments, Luxury Hotel Getaways and Restaurant Vouchers are among the many treasures to be claimed. Every ticket is a winner!

Charity Expo

We will be featuring talented and passionate HKIS students sponsoring most worthy charities at the Charity Expo. Our ever popular pie throw, sand bottles, facepainting and henna tattoos are returning. A new LEGO house build, recycling simulation, and our very own UP Guide Dog in training, Lovey, will also be joining us to celebrate World's Fair! Find us on the HS Tennis Courts!

Bring Your Own Water Bottle (BYOWB)

You may have noticed that bottled water is not sold on campus. HKIS is helping the environment by reducing the waste of plastic water bottles. You are encouraged to bring your own reusable water bottles and fill them with cool, safe drinking water from one of the many fountains available on campus. Additional drinks will be available for sale in the cafeteria during the World’s Fair.

Open to EVERYONE - But Bring ID!

No entry tickets are needed for the World’s Fair. However, there is security in place. Please bring your HKIS ID (if you have one) for direct access via the entry gates, or your Hong Kong ID or Passport with you for registration at the security desk.

Please Note - CASH Sales

This is mainly a cash event for Family Food, Book Sale, Bake Sale, Games, World of Surprises, and Shopping Village. There are no ATMs on campus, nor in Red Hill Peninsula . So, please come well prepared to enjoy the fun!

Last but not least, please remember that the World’s Fair attracts over 3,000 visitors each year so it is a car-free zone for the day . Please use city buses, taxis, or hop on one of the free shuttle buses provided by Kwoon Chung Motor Company Limited. You’ll find the shuttle bus schedule below:
