Overview
Join Estêvão Marques for an inspiring workshop filled with lively musical songs, games, and body percussion activities. Participants will explore South American and Brazilian music alongside global traditions, experimenting with rhythm using spoons, cups, and their bodies as instruments. Estêvão will lead creative sessions that encourage exploration, improvisation, and composition in a playful way. Music teachers (at both elementary and secondary levels) and classroom teachers are welcome. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch, and please come dressed ready to move and dance! Estêvão Marques is a Brazilian educator specializing in music and movement, with extensive experience throughout South America, the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He engages children through dance, body percussion, and music, fostering their creativity with a playful approach. As a prominent educator in the Orff-Schulwerk method, he teaches at The San Francisco International Orff Course. Additionally, Estêvão is an author and composer, having published several books, including "Histórias Que Cantam" and "Colherim."
