Overview

Pathways to Inclusive Education is pleased to offer Part 2 of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Workshop Series, presented in collaboration with Hong Kong International School.

Building on the foundation established in Part 1, this session invites participants to deepen their understanding of UDL theory and engage in guided, hands-on practice using their own work samples. For this reason, completion of Part 1 is a prerequisite for participation.

Our goal is to deepen participants’ understanding of UDL while equipping them with practical, high-leverage strategies that can be  implemented immediately to design more inclusive, engaging, and effective learning experiences.

Session Outcomes

Over the course of two interactive days, participants will

  • Strengthen their understanding of the UDL Guidelines and Considerations.

  • Engage in guided practice to identify and remove barriers in the design of lessons, classroom environments, and, at the leadership level, professional learning, faculty meetings, and family engagement sessions.
  • Explore and apply co-planning processes and strategies that strengthen collaboration among Learning Support Teachers, EAL Teachers, Counselors, Instructional Coaches, Curriculum Leaders, and Classroom Teachers.
  • Observe demonstrations and apply tools such as Jennifer Pusateri’s UDL Design Approaches and Pathways to Inclusive Education’s UDL Conversation Map.
