A Whole School Approach to Health and Wellbeing
Registration deadline: January 26, 2026
Dual-Track Event
Join us for a one-day Student-led Health and Wellbeing Summit alongside the “Whole School Approach to Health and Wellbeing” workshop at HKIS.
Track #1: Student Health and Wellbeing Summit
Connect with other student wellbeing leaders and community experts from across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area to explore what whole-school wellness can look like in your context. Through hands-on workshops and collaborative planning, students will leave feeling empowered—with a personalized action plan developed in partnership with their faculty advisors.
Summit Objectives:
- Collaborate with student wellbeing leaders from other schools to share ideas and strategies that promote student wellness.
- Learn from local experts about current health and wellbeing issues affecting youth in Hong Kong.
- Experience wellness workshops like yoga, art therapy, and nature walks to explore what might work in your own school.
- Create a practical action plan with your faculty advisor to bring new wellbeing initiatives to life in your school community
Track #2: A Whole School Approach to Health and Wellbeing
With concerns around well-being on the rise, the WHO and UNESCO joined forces in 2021 to update their Global Standards for Health-Promoting Schools. Join our one-day workshop to delve into how this guidance doc can help international schools pull together the different components – student voice, policy, health curriculum, safeguarding, SEL, employee wellness, and physical environment – that can foster a culture of health and wellbeing. Participants will leave feeling empowered with tools and ideas to get everyone in their community speaking the same language and working towards the same common goals.
