Overview
The goal of the HKIS 2025 Chinese Studies and World Languages Conference is to provide an effective platform for language teachers to learn and share new ideas and best practices. The theme of the 2025 Conference is "Pathways to Globalism". Participants will be able to get inspiration from internationally renowned experts as well as learn practical strategies from their regional peers through various breakout sessions.
This year, the conference will include Pre-Conference Workshops focused on building the capacity of program leadership as well as implementation of best practices to support language learning. Both sessions will be facilitated by Paul Sandrock and Ying Jin.
The Main Conference will feature:
- Two renowned experts, Paul Sandrock and Jin Ying, to facilitate the opening and closing keynotes
- Breakout sessions presented by language practitioners in the region
- Break Chats: During the day, we will also collect real-time data from participants for topics of interests for discussion facilitated by designated facilitators
